Description
The Expansion Joint system has pre-formed holes which allow it to be used in conjunction with Universal Dowel Sleeves (UDS). The Universal Dowel Sleeves are installed in the steel section using the patented Connolly twist-fix feature. The preformed holes will accommodate round dowels up to 30mm diameter and square dowels up to 24mm. The Expansion Joint profile is available in 3m lengths for slab thicknesses from 100mm to 300mm.

Expansion joints in concrete are an important feature which counter effects the impact of concrete contacting or expanding which may in turn lead to cracking of the slab and thus structural weakness.
The Connolly expansion joint is a roll-formed galvanised steel section with 10mm cross linked foam that facilitates joint expansion without negative consequences. The patented twist and fix feature allows dowels to be aligned to offer unhindered slab movement and the straight profile ensures that load is transferred through the dowels only. Other invaluable features of the Connolly expansion joint system include the galvanised coating which limits corrosion plus additional stiffening which helps you to achieve straighter joints. Furthermore, this joint enables continuous pour and can be used to screed off, making getting the right level fast and easy.
